FAQ
Questions
How much does it cost?
The Slack app is free. Cards started with /card are free for up to 10 signatures, like any card. Upgrade a card for $6.99, or get a yearly team plan for automatic birthday and anniversary cards.
Does everyone need to install something?
No. One person adds the app to the workspace. Everyone else just clicks Sign the card. Signers don't need an account.
Will the person the card is for see it?
Not until it's delivered. The card is posted in the channel where you type /card, so start it in a channel they aren't in. Messages stay private until delivery.
Can the app read our messages?
No. It only sees what Slack sends when you use /card, click its buttons, or paste a cards.company link. It never reads channel history.
How do we remove it?
Remove the app in Slack (Settings → Manage apps). Slack tells us, and we delete the workspace's access token right away.
